Full-Stack Developer (Java, React) | 3-Month Contract

As a full-stack developer, owning features end to end, from understanding the business need to shipping and supporting them in production. You’ll work with a Product Owner, BA, QA engineers and a Solution Architect in an Agile setup, and you’ll be expected to bring technical judgement, not just implementation.
Key responsibilities
  • Feature delivery: Design, develop and maintain web applications using Java (Spring Boot) on the backend and React on the frontend.
  • API design: Build secure, well-documented RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and third-party systems.
  • Data: Design relational data models and write efficient queries; handle migrations cleanly.
  • Quality: Write unit and integration tests, take part in code reviews, and work with QA to resolve defects quickly.
  • Agile collaboration: Take part in sprint planning, estimation, refinement and demos; break down user stories into technical tasks.
  • DevOps: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments and environment setup.
  • Support: Investigate and fix production issues during hypercare and steady-state support.
  • Documentation and mentoring: Keep technical documentation up to date and support junior developers through reviews and pairing.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years hands-on in both Java backend and React frontend.
  • Have experience in Java (11+, ideally 17/21) and Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security.
  • Knowledge in React with TypeScript, including hooks, state management and component-based design.
  • Good command of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive UI; familiarity with a UI library (MUI, Ant Design or similar).
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MySQL).
  • Comfortable with Git, pull-request workflows and CI/CD.
  • Working experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Good English (reading, writing and meetings) for daily work with international stakeholders.

  • Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure (App Service, AKS, Azure SQL, Entra ID).
  • Docker and basic Kubernetes.
  • Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines) or Jira.
  • Microservices, event-driven architecture.
  • SSO/OAuth2 integration.
  • Soft skills
